Check the source behind an answer
Read citations and handle missing, outdated or conflicting evidence.

Open the citation
Responses can include source references. Select a citation to inspect the supporting material. A page or section location may be shown when available.
Details vary by content type. Check the document title and cited passage rather than assuming every reference has the same metadata.
Check context and currency
Read enough of the original to understand exceptions, scope and responsibilities. Confirm that it applies to your team and task.
For controlled procedures, verify the approved version with the document owner or source system. A citation identifies evidence; it does not certify that a document is current.
When something does not look right
If a source is unavailable, check your access with an administrator. If documents conflict, refer the conflict to the knowledge owner rather than choosing the first answer.
Report the question, source title and expected result. Avoid sending confidential documents or credentials through a general support enquiry.
