Using Vera

Ask a useful question

Give Vera useful context without writing a complicated prompt.

Example prompts are illustrative, not approved company procedures.

Name the thing you need

Use plain language and include the system or procedure you are working with. A specific question is easier to verify than a broad request for everything on a topic.

For example: ‘According to our production change procedure, which approvals and rollback evidence are required before deploying a database migration?’

Follow up on the detail

Ask one clear question first. Then ask for prerequisites, responsibilities or exceptions as follow-ups.

For example: ‘Which step requires approval from the change owner?’ or ‘Show me the source for the rollback requirement.’ Compare the explanation with the cited material.

Recognise the limits

Vera works with the information and tools available to your account. Rewording a question cannot grant access to restricted material or make an absent document available.

If there is insufficient evidence, check the source scope and escalate to the responsible person. AI output should not replace professional review or your organisation’s approval process.
